Virgin Blue Orders Boeing 777-300ERs to Initiate Long-Haul Service


Now its official; Boeing cracked another big order with this news from Australia's Virgin Blue. They ordered six Boeing 777-300ERs, with options for six more, and will lease an additional 777-300ER. The new planes will allow Virgin Blue to establish its new long-haul airline, providing service from Australia to the United States and other destinations.

No startup dates for the service have been announced.
