Flight International reports — EADS co-chief executive Noël Forgeard has been forced to apologise for offending members of the French parliament after two members publicly called for his resignation over comments comparing them to monkeys. According to French press reports he referred to them as behaving like “excited monkeys,” in a meeting with trade union representatives over the future of troubled subsidiary EADS Sogerma Services.
The WSJ reports "…the then-head of DaimlerChrysler, which owns 30% of Airbus's parent company, called him (Forgeard) a "compulsive liar."
At Boeing, when CEOs have behaved, shall we say, in an unprofessional manner, they got fired. With so much discord within Airbus and EADS, perhaps M. Forgeard should go. Somebody has to take responsibility and he seems the best candidate.
