Gulf Air – unsettled or settling down?

Listen to our podcast with Adnan Malek, PR manager at the airline about the goings on within the company.

Gulf Air shrinks

Gulf Air is to cut its fleet and streamline its organization as part of a restructuring plan designed to help reduce losses over the next few years. It is moving to an all Airbus fleet.

In the pressure cooker environment that is the Gulf, this is very bad news. Gulf Air cannot sustain by shrinking, it will likely wither. If Gulf Air is losing money but its competitors are making money, then something is deeply wrong. Traffic growth is among the highest in the world in this region.
