e-tid.com reports — According to a survey by Orbitz for Business, 86% of corporate travelers find business travel today is as difficult or more difficult than it was two years ago.
Flight delays and cancellations were cited by 25% of respondents as their pet hate, while 23% nominated security queues and 22% restrictions to hand baggage. Expensive room service, crowded aircraft, passengers with too much hand baggage and having to complete expense reports were other gripes mentioned.
The Orbitz for Business Take 5 Corporate Traveler Poll also found that 80% of respondents had booked business travel online, with nearly 70% having had a positive or very positive experience when doing so.
Other findings included that the majority of US corporate travelers (93%) conducted their business travel primarily within North America, although 12% planned to travel to China or India in the next year.
The Take 5 Corporate Traveler Poll was conducted online using a panel of 404 US adults who were regular business travelers.
