The planned cabin crew strikes that could cost the company more than £300m and cause chaos for millions of travelers. British Airways could not afford this strike after the trouble they have had to overcome at Heathrow with terror attacks, rising USA security demands and generally bolshie unions. The impact will not be completely alleviated because lots of flights have been canceled and passengers no doubt have made other plans. The airline's reputation has taken another dent.
This airline's cost structure will remain high because of union demands. Even the "world's favorite airline" will have to get its labor costs under control sooner or later. The sooner the better.
